California has some of the strictest traffic safety laws in the country, and has laws that help keep teenage drivers, motorcyclists and children safer and prevent drunk and distracted driving accidents. That information comes from a new report that rated all the 50 states based on whether the state had passed 15 safety laws. A stroke can have serious health consequences, some of which can impair a person’s motor and other abilities. Some of those effects could involve an impaired ability to operate a motor vehicle. According to new research however, more than 50% of survivors who have suffered the stroke, continue to drive again without any test or review of their driving skills to ensure that their driving skills are unaffected. In spite of the fact that more parents are restraining their children in safety seats and booster seats than ever before, federal administration officials believe that there are far too many children being killed because they are not adequately or appropriately restrained in the right types of safety devices. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, accident fatalities involving children below the age of 12 dropped a staggering 43% between 2002 and 2011.
